Founder of Radical Truth
Bio
Joe Carey was the Founder of Radical Truth. Joe studied Islam for almost twenty years and he held a Master's Degree in Christian Apologetics from Biola University with a special focus on Islamic Studies. Joe was an ordained minister and taught classes on 'Apologetics to Islam' and Muslim evangelism in churches throughout the U.S. and abroad for thirteen years. He spoke and taught on Islam both domestically in the U.S. and internationally in nations as diverse as Kenya, Brazil, and Nigeria. He was a frequent guest on the Aramaic Broadcasting Network's Trinity Channel and on several episodes of the God, Country, and Family radio show, discussing issues of Islam in today's culture. He was quoted in several articles on the American Family Association's OneNewsNow news portal. He also lectured as an instructor for the Calvary Chapel Bible College on two of their satellite campuses.
Joe had a 20+ year career with the Southern California Edison company before the Lord called him into full-time Muslim ministry in January 2007. He was then involved in various aspects of Muslim ministry: leading teams on various outreach events to Muslims in the U.S., as a key member of another ministry that focused on training international missionaries to Muslims, and with Radical Truth as we seek to equip the body of Christ in the U.S. to engage in dialog with Muslims on issues of eternal importance.
Not believing in a 'one size fits all' approach to Muslim evangelism, Joe did not focus solely on one methodology, but rather aimed to help Christians understand the worldview of Muslims, from which each individual could then use the approach most comfortable for him or her.
Joe went home to be with the Lord on August 14th, 2018.
