There is a divine explosion of dreams and visions entering the human realm in the Middle East amongst Muslims. God is penetrating the intellect and hearts of Muslims and with the blood of Christ. Ravi Zacharias, an Indian-born Canadian-American and apologist has commented on these profound phenomena that echo the prophecy of Joel in the Bible. Zacharias said, “I pray for God to open the eyes and the hearts of people in all cultures. Among former Muslims who are now Christians, more than 90 percent of those with whom I have talked have come to know Christ through a dream or a vision. God used their own worldview through which to reveal Christ.” I am among this 90% whom Jesus came to in a dream, penetrating my mind as He revealed Himself to me, showing He is real, He is love, and He is irresistible. Although this happened to me in America, I can identify with former Muslims in the Middle East whose hearts have been penetrated with a dream and/or vision by the resurrected Christ.

I remember being in a deep sleep and thinking about the Levitical Law, the importance of Solomon’s Temple, and messianic prophecies of Jesus in the Old Testament. I could hear my voice in my dream saying, “Why is Islam silent or doesn’t go into detail on this? Why doesn’t the Quran explain what happened to Jesus on the cross?” Then a man appeared in my dream. He was of olive complexion and had dark eyes. His eyes seemed both joyful and sad, piercing deep into my soul. The man looked Middle Eastern. His hair was brown, and his beard was thick. I said aloud, “Jesus?” Instantly blood started to fill my dream. It was dark, crimson, and was coming from all different directions like a waterfall. The blood consumed me as I tried to escape it; eventually, I could see myself almost like a silhouette, and I was playing in the blood like a little child. I was laughing, throwing the blood in the air, and I remember thinking in my mind as I witnessed myself basking in this blood, “Wow!” It was unbelievable! Joy! Peace! Love! Hope! Grace! Forgiveness! Anything you can visualize or feel to express the deep and rich unconditional love of Jesus, I would say I felt in that dream. Then I woke up… and felt calmness and serenity, and God’s unconditional love.

What is to be said of so many Muslims seeing the resurrected Jesus in dreams and visions—such powerful expressions of God’s divine reality and love—that cause them to leave their faith? For those who do not understand the Islamic worldview, one can be killed for even hinting that Jesus revealed Himself, especially if this Jesus is the resurrected Christ of the New Testament, and not the prophet, Jesus, of the Quran, who did not experience the cross or resurrection. The prophet Joel wrote thousands of years ago on these powerful experiences that would illuminate the hearts of many people on the earth in the last days, starting with Pentecost. “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit” (Joel 22:28-29). All one must do is simply type “Muslims turning to Jesus from dreams and visions” in an internet search engine, and your results will be in the thousands, many comprised of testimonials of former Muslims whose lives have been changed by these divine encounters. Another article, published by the Christian Broadcasting Network titled “Former ‘Prince of Isis’ Turns to Christ After a God Dream …’” tells how one of the leaders of ISIS converted to Christ after seeing the blood of Jesus in a dream.

For me, Muslims whose journeys were inspired and influenced by a divine encounter with the resurrected Jesus’ blood is personal. It is real. It makes me praise the Lord, and it is a reminder of how at one time I was lost, but now I am free. And the beautiful thing is, He never stopped pursuing me, because He loved me first, and never gave up on me. He shed His blood for me … and for you.
