It's quite sad that not only have people attempted to re-define the word 'radical,' but also that so many people have gone along with it. The fact is, if you look up the word in a dictionary the two main definitions that you'll find are "to cause change" or to "go back to the root or origin" of something. In other words, a 'radical Muslim' does what Muhammad said to do, and a 'radical Christian' does what Jesus said to do.
With that said, if a Muslim hears the Gospel and then repents of his sin and puts his trust in Jesus Christ, and then stops doing what Muhammad said to do (stops being a radical Muslim) and begins doing what Jesus said to do (becomes a radical Christian), that would actually be good thing, or in other words, a good 'change.'
So sticking with the actual dictionary definitions of the word (mentioned above) being 'radical' can be good thing, if it's a 'good thing' that you're 'radical' about.
