A recent study exposes alarming views among young Muslims in Germany, with a significant majority prioritizing Sharia Law over German law, prompting criticism of the left-wing government’s response and its open-border policies.
A recent video released by German journalist Anabel Schunke has shed light on the troubling views held by young Muslims in Germany, indicating “that the laws of the Qur’an are more important to them than the laws of Germany.”
Schunke discloses staggering statistics, revealing that a startling 67.8 percent of young Muslims surveyed prioritize the laws of the Qur’an over those of Germany. Furthermore, nearly half, 45.8 percent, believe that an Islamic theocracy represents the optimal form of government. Additionally, more than half, 51.5 percent, assert that only Islam can effectively address contemporary societal challenges.
Even more troubling, the journalist reports that 35.3 percent of respondents understand why violence is deployed against individuals who insult Allah or the Prophet Mohammed. Moreover, a concerning 21.2 percent agree that a perceived threat from the West to Islam justifies a violent defense by Muslims.
These revelations stem from a comprehensive study conducted by the Criminology Research Institute of Lower Saxony, which surveyed approximately 8,500 students, averaging 15 years of age, including 300 Muslims. The findings underscore a disturbing trend wherein a significant portion of young Muslims in Germany hold views that diverge from democratic principles and endorse violent or extremist ideologies.
Schunke highlights the worsening of this trend over time, noting that the current study results indicate a more radical outlook among the youth compared to previous generations. This intensification of radicalization is particularly alarming given that some of these Muslims were born and raised in Germany.
Furthermore, she expresses frustration at the lack of attention given to such concerning developments, criticizing the ongoing focus on immigration without addressing the underlying issues of radicalization and extremism within the Islamic population. Schunke sarcastically remarks It would probably have been more “fun” if they’d been asked about the Muslim’s attitude towards Jews and Israel.
After presenting the concerning findings, Schunke shifts to discussing the left-wing government’s response. She notes their apparent lack of concern for these troubling views among Islamic migrants, attributing it to their open-border agenda. Additionally, Schunke highlights their assertion that such radical views originate from the right, which she mocks, pointing out that they actually stem from the migrants themselves, imported into the country by the left-wing government.
