Algerian Migrant Detained for Rape of a Male American Tourist at Frances Eiffel Tower

PARIS, France – The case dates back to July 2022, when an American tourist’s vacation in Paris took a horrific turn. One evening, while admiring the Eiffel Tower and having a meal at the Champ-de-Mars, the American teacher was grabbed and dragged behind a bush by an unknown assailant. Despite his struggles, the attacker overpowered him, forcing him to perform fellatio and attempting to go further. The victim managed to escape, his clothes torn and his body scratched.

As he walked away, the American noticed his rapist following him. In a panic, he rushed into a nearby metro station with the attacker still in pursuit. The victim sought help from a group of teenage girls, one of whom had the presence of mind to take a photo of the assailant, causing him to flee immediately.

Forensic technicians later found a trace of semen on the victim’s thigh, a crucial piece of evidence for the investigation. However, initial checks against the sex offender registry (FNAEG) yielded no matches, leaving the identity of the rapist unknown. The investigation, led by the third judicial police district under the Paris prosecutor’s office, stalled despite extensive review of video surveillance footage.

The breakthrough came thanks to the photo taken by the teenager. Investigators compared the photo to criminal records, a comprehensive database recording the identities of all individuals involved in any criminal case. This process paid off when officials matched the image to one of Mohamed Z., an Algerian national previously known only for using a false administrative document.

Mohamed Z., who has no fixed address, was arrested last week during a professional interview. He was found carrying fake Belgian identity papers, leading to an additional charge for this offense, despite denying the rape allegations while in police custody, Mohamed Z. was ultimately identified through a DNA match with the sample found on the victim’s clothing and was also recognized by the teenage girls who had taken his photo.

The arrest of Mohamed Z. marks a significant step forward in the fight for justice for the American tourist. However, this incident, like so many others, could have been avoided if France had not welcomed hundreds of thousands of Islamic migrants. Recent incidents near the Eiffel Tower have highlighted a disturbing pattern of attacks on tourists and citizens by Islamic migrants.

In January 2024, an Afghan migrant was sentenced to 18 months in prison with 12 months suspended for forcibly kissing a 7-year-old French girl near the Eiffel Tower. On the night of January 1, an English policewoman was attacked and brutally assaulted, including rape, at the tower’s base. The attacker, wielding a knife, subjected her to a terrifying ordeal. In a separate incident last July, a Mexican tourist was assaulted by a “group of men” near Champ-de-Mars, underscoring ongoing security concerns in the area due to mass Islamic migration.

These alarming occurrences raise questions about the safety of innocent civilians in and around this iconic Parisian landmark. These incidents emphasize the need for enhanced security measures, closing the borders, and deporting the illegal threats already residing in the country.
