As Sweden’s Islamization accelerates with leftist support, the growing power of the Muslim community, marked by anti-Western celebrations attended by left-wing politicians, raises serious concerns about women’s rights, public safety, and animal welfare.
On Sunday, Muslims began the celebration of the “festival of sacrifice,” known as Eid al-Adha. Several parks around Sweden were transformed into areas resembling places in the Middle East. Alongside thousands of Muslims, top politicians from the Social Democrats were also present.
This was the second year in a row that the Gothenburg Mosque, in collaboration with the Frölunda Multicultural Association, organized a Muslim mass prayer in Slottsskogen on Sunday as part of the Eid al-Adha celebrations. This year, the turnout was significantly larger than last year, estimates Faraj Semmo, who is CEO of Gothenburg’s mosque.
Eid al-Adha is a four-day holiday commemorating the willingness of the prophet Abraham to sacrifice his son as commanded by Allah. The story concludes with Allah commanding Abraham to sacrifice an animal instead, and as part of the celebration, Muslims perform ‘Qurbani’ (animal slaughter). The “holiday” is celebrated worldwide and involves the public slaughter of animals such as sheep, goats, lambs, buffalo, cattle, and camels, typically weighing over 60 pounds. The holiday also marks the end of the annual Muslim pilgrimage, the Hajj, to the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday morning, over 15,000 Muslims gathered at Vattenleksplatsen in Rosengård, Malmö, to begin their celebrations, which included mass Islamic prayers broadcast through loudspeakers.
Islamic leaders boasted that they hoped to make this outdoor provocation an annual event during Eid al-Adha.

The left-wing Social Democrats in Attendance
A large mass prayer was also held in Slottsparken, Gothenburg. According to SVT’s report from Slottsparken, top politicians from the left-wing Social Democrats (S) were in attendance.
Jonas Attenius (S), chairman of the municipal board in Gothenburg, gave a speech and did everything he could to appease the pro-Palestinian/Hamas crowd. He said he felt it would be strange, not to mention the situation we now have in Gaza. He went on to say, “Thousands of civilians have been killed, and it was important for me to highlight that we see what is happening and that we are also doing the little we can to counter it.”
Furthermore, he acknowledged his awareness of the Muslim holiday, mentioning that his “Muslim chief of staff” at the municipal hall had helped him understand its significance. “Now I have a Muslim chief of staff who supports me during the various holidays. I knew about Ramadan, but I actually didn’t know about this one,” Attenius admitted to SVT.
Gender Segregation: women’s disappearing rights
Looking at the pictures from the event, you can’t find a single woman. 1921 Swedish women won full civil rights, and their struggle could finally be brought up on the political agenda. Now, it seems that Muslims, with the help of leftists and Jonas Attenius, are pushing development back to the Middle Ages. Women and children are present, but according to Islam, they must stay in the background.
As Sweden continues to grow more Islamized with the help of the left, Islamic events like these show the power of the Muslim community as it grows and the increased danger to Swedes and Swedish culture in proportion. The presence of left-wing political figures at these anti-Western celebrations raises concerns about the direction in which Swedish society is heading, particularly regarding women’s rights and public safety. One thing is for sure: not only are citizens at risk but Sweden’s animals and laws protecting against animal cruelty are as well.
